Tuning is the heartbeat of a ported box. It decides whether your system digs deep or hits hard.
30 Hz
Deep & Smooth
Lowest extension and a warm, musical character. Great for metal, rock, and any setup where you want to feel the low notes, not just hear them.
33 Hz
Balanced
Deep enough to hit the lows, tight enough to stay punchy. The safe choice for an all-around daily driver.

What's the difference between tuning frequencies?
Lower tuning (30 Hz) gives deeper, smoother bass that's great for music. Higher tuning (40 Hz) leans into output and punch — popular for SPL and hip-hop-heavy setups. 33–37 Hz is the sweet spot for most daily drivers.
Should I get a single or dual enclosure?
Dual subs move more air — more output and more cone area. Single boxes are cheaper to build and fit tighter spaces. Both are available in every size and tuning.
What tools and material do I need?
Standard shop tools — circular or table saw, drill, jigsaw for the sub cutout — plus wood glue, screws, and 3/4″ MDF. The cut sheet includes every dimension you need.
